More Net Ideas...
In Prisoner of Azkaban (book) Trelawney warns Parvati to "Beware a Red-Haired Man" and Parvati looks at Ron.
But I do not think Trelawney meant Ron... who do you think she meant and why...

Hmm . . . I'm not sure. I don't even remember that part. I suppose I should re-read that one, uh?
Maybe she meant another Weasley? Can't imagine who though.

What colour was Godric's hair? Maybe a possession of his will harm her.

I'm not sure his hair color was ever mentioned. It would make sense that his hair was red, considering that Gryffindor's colors are red and gold. However, because of this, his hair could have also been golden (i.e. blond).
I'm not sure it would be a possesion though. The warning was to look out for the "man" himself.

Have we taken into account that Trelawney is full of BS? I think not.
Remember people, she has only had 2 true predictions, preminitions, whatever you callem deallies that are kept in the hall of mystery. And she told Harry he was gonna die in the 3rd book. She's a hack.
I wouldn't give what she has to say more merit than I would to the statement that she's cool, because let's face it, she's not.

Well she said it to Parvati..who's best friends with Lavendar..
In book 6, Ron and Lavendar "hook up." Maybe this was a warning to Parvati that she was going to lose her best friend to the Red-Haired man?
Hmm..
(((((I think this was mentioned to me by Justin, but he didnt' post it, so I figured I would)))))

Yeah, I soooo mentioned that to you... *does victory dance in secret death easter outfit*
;D
Just figured I'd give those of you slower in thought a chance to come up with the obvious answer yourselves.

Ummmm right.
OKay.
Well.
I think she was just talking about Ron, because like Amy's brother, whose name i don't know, said, she is full of BS... And Ron was sitting right there.

So you don't think Trelawney actually saw Parvati and Lavendar's friendship slipping due to a Red-Haired man?

oooh i'm not sure about this one. I think she just took a wild guess, yuou know how she said so many things that haven't come true. Maybe it was just guest work, maybe she saw Lav looking at ron and warned Pavarti?

Yea, I think it was BS that she came up with the make the kids pay attention. Associating the class with something they can see.

Yeah I agree. With her abilities, its unlikely she would have predicted that...

We all know that Trelawney IS capable at being accurate in her predictions, and not always has she had that weird creepy voice either when she's done it.
Remember in book 3, in one of the very first lessons with her, Trelawney asked everyone to grab a teacup? And she looked at Neville and told him that after he broke his first cup, to grab one of the pink ones, and be more careful with it?
Then, as everone goes to get their cup, there's a tinkle of china signaling that Neville did indeed break his cup.
So she DOES have some power, regardless of her crackpot theories on Harry's death. I think Trelawney is pretty much f.o.s sometimes. but I think her warning to Parvati was pretty accurate. By book 6, we see her rolling her eyes at Lavendar and Ron, and we see their friendship slip a little bit.
How can you say it was all BS when Trelawney's warning actually did come true?

I forgot about the teacup thing!!!! Well, yes, in that case, she may very well have been talking about ron...
